Riccardo Maggi, Deputy head of unit for Impact Assessment in the Secretariat General of the European Commission

Riccardo Maggi is the deputy head of unit for Impact Assessment in the Secretariat General of the European Commission. The unit is responsible for the horizontal aspects of the Commission Smart Regulation agenda and acts as secretariat to the Impact Assessment Board, the independent quality control and support mechanism of the Commission. Mr Maggi is a macro-economist by training (Bocconi and Oxford Universities). Before taking up his current post, he worked in the Commission’s Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs, in the Directorate General for Development and Cooperation and in the International Monetary Fund.
