In October 2013 BRDO hosted Danish delegation from The Danish Business Authority and the Danish Ministry of Business & Growth whilst they were in the UK.
Kate Fletcher, Deputy Director at BRDO, presented an introduction to the UK regulatory framework. This was followed by discussions on the Danish Better Regulation Reform agenda, which covered the approach to regulation in Denmark, while sharing practice and experiences.
The Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) also presented on their approach to better regulation, providing regulatory guidance, and smarter data-sharing ideas across regulators.
In May 2014 BRDO hosted China Britain Council delegation for one day whilst they were in the UK.
Sarah Smith, Deputy Chief Executive at BRDO, presented on the UK Regulatory Framework including an introduction to the Better Regulation Delivery Office and an overview of UK reform agenda and strategy.
BRDO worked with representatives from China to discuss China’s reform agenda and economic programme.
Discussions were based on the topic of building confidence to invest and grow in the economy. The focus was on the UK current approach to regulatory delivery, working with other agencies, the Primary Authority Scheme and working with business.
The Better Regulation Executive also presented on regulatory reform and the Regulatory Policy Committee explained their role in the process.
